Why do some transactions show “Cardholder Name Not Available”?
The DipJar is only capable of capturing information from the magnetic stripe on the card used when making a donation. If we can collect the donor’s name, it will appear with the transaction information in your user dashboard under ‘Activity’. Depending on the card type or the cardholder's bank, the name of the donor is not always provided and will appear as ‘Cardholder Name Not Avialable’. If it is important to your organization to collect all donor names and any additional information on your donors, our online tool, SparkVirtual, does allow donors to submit their name, email, and zip code if they choose to provide it. A sign up sheet placed next to your DipJar with the information that you require is another option we commonly see utilized.
